St Gallen v Young Boys – Over 2.5 Goals
A fixture that normally throws up goals – 44 scored in the last 10 meetings – this should serve up some more on Thursday. It’s a cup match so a bit less predictable than normal but a quick glance at the table sees Young Boys have run away with things. They’ve scored 9 in their last three league matches including a 2-2 with St Gallen, who’s last four games have seen 19 goals scored.
Hannover 96 to win
Wurzburger Kickers prop up Bundesliga II with just four wins from 26 which leaves them nine points adrift at the bootom of the table. Just three points from 39 on the road suggests they’re unlikely to take anything from their trip to Hannover. The hosts sit comfortably mid-table and have lost just twice in 12 at home (W6 D4 L2).
East Fife to win
Dumbarton have been toiling since the return to action, without a win in five (L3 D2) in the league and only scored once on those handful of games. East Fife are looking up the table at a possible play-off place. They’ll have been disappointed to throw away a two goal lead in injury time to Partick Thistle on Tuesday but only Cove have won more points in their last six matches in League One.
Lyon to score 2+
Lyon have struck five goals in each of their two Coupe de France matches so far this season and face National league side Red Star for a place in the last 8. They’ve fielded relatively strong line-ups against Ajaccio and Sochaux and although winless in three they’ve still been scoring goals. They’re just 1/5 to win here but far more tempting to score two at 4/11.
