Top Tip – Key Grand National Betting Advice – Bet Early!
Our best advice for betting on the 2021 Grand National would be to place your bets nice and early, preferably in the days leading up to the race on Saturday 10th April at 5.15pm.
Most online bookmakers will take down their welcome offers for the Grand National down on the actual day itself (as they get plenty of new business on this day anyway), so if you want to grab yourself a free bet bonus or enhanced odds offer make sure you get on it this week preferably before Saturday!

Grand National Betting Odds & Runners 2021
Cloth Cap – 4/1 favourite bet365*
On all known recent form he looks the horse to beat but statisticians will shudder when they realise that Tom Scudamore has never placed in the top three in any of his 18 previous National attempts.
Age: 9 | Jockey: Tom Scudamore | Trainer: Jonjo O’Neill
Any Second Now – 10/1 Betfair
Hails from the Ted Walsh yard, who won this race in 2000 when Ted jocked up his son Ruby to land the race with Papillon.
Age: 8 | Jockey: Rachael Blackmore | Trainer: Henry de Bromhead
Burrows Saint – 9/1 Unibet
Based on his current form, the 2019 Irish Grand National victor has every chance of giving Willie Mullins his second Grand National winner since Hedgehunter in 2005.
Age: 8 | Jockey: ? | Trainer: Mark Walsh
Minella Times – 12/1 William Hill
Set to be ridden by Rachael Blackmore, which will see a raft of money come for the Henry de Bromhead-trained Paddy Power Chase runner-up last Christmas.
Age: 8 | Jockey: Rachael Blackmore | Trainer: Henry de Bromhead
Kimberlite Candy – 12/1 William Hill
Finished second in the Becher Chase over the National fences in December and the nine-year-old tends to run well fresh.
Secret Reprieve – 14/1 Boylesports
Winner of the Welsh Grand National this season and clearly a talented youngster, but the last seven-year-old to win this was back in 1940.
Discorama – 18/1 at bet365*
Owned jointly between Andrew Gemmell and Thomas Friel, Discorama has been placed at three Cheltenham Festivals and fits the Grand National profile well.
Magic Of Light – 20/1 SportNation
Jessica Harrington’s 2019 runner-up has had a return trip to Merseyside earmarked for some time now and the mare can perform well again over these unique fences.
The Storyteller – 20/1 Unibet
The Storyteller is a dual Grade One winner and rarely runs a bad race. The ten-year-old is certainly classy enough to make his mark here.
Potters Corner – 25/1 at bet365*
2019 Welsh Grand National winner will be a popular choice amongst punters as former winners of that race often go well in this.
Bristol De Mai – 28/1 SportNation
Better known for his Betfair Chase exploits at Haydock but he is still a class horse away from there as his Gold Cup third in 2019 showed.
Lord Du Mesnil – 40/1 William Hill
Stays forever and put in another gutsy display in the Grand National Trial at Haydock but his chances are very much ground dependent.
Milan Native – 33/1 William Hill
Winner of last year’s Kim Muir and highly probable that the Cullentra House stable have laid the eight-year-old out for this race.
Acapella Bourgeois – 40/1 William Hill
This useful veteran was third in the 2019 Irish Grand National and took the scalp of Burrows Saint in February as he won the Bobbyjo Chase for a second time.
Anibale Fly – 33/1 Unibet
The consistent JP McManus-owned veteran has finished fourth and fifth in the last two runnings Grand National behind Tiger Roll.
Farlcas – 25/1 Unibet
Ran an impressive second to The Shunter in the Paddy Power Chase at Cheltenham and off a featherweight of just 10-3, he has to be considered.
Lake View Lad – 40/1 at bet365*
Winner of the Many Clouds Chase here back in December but was pulled up in his first attempt in this race in 2019.
Mister Malarky – 33/1 Unibet
Wind surgery at the start of February appeared to work the oracle when Mister Malarky finished a decent third at the Cheltenham Festival.
Yala Enki – 40/1 William Hill
The gutsy eleven-year-old stays all day and will be an exciting and willing Grand National partner for jockey Bryony Frost.
Takingrisks – 40/1 at bet365*
Nicky Richard’s “pensioner” has won a Scottish National, a Sky Bet Chase and the Rehearsal Chase and has proved that he is still a top-class handicapper.
Canelo – 50/1 William Hill
Despite not being a big fan of the race, Alan King could be in danger of actually winning it with Canelo who has run some super prep races this season.
Chris’s Dream – 50/1 William Hill
Henry de Bromhead’s runner was pulled up at Cheltenham but he does have snippets of good form like his Troytown Chase victory.
Class Conti – 50/1 SportNation
Thyestes second Class Conti could well be another live chance in the race for his famous owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede.
