SlipsTips takes a look at Saturday’s Scottish League Two match between Queen’s Park and Stirling Albion.
Queen’s Park vs Stirling (Saturday, 15:00)
Queen’s Park will look to continue their quest for Scottish League Two glory when they play host to Stirling Albion on Saturday.
The big-spending Spiders have returned to competitive action with a bang, winning each of their last three fixtures without conceding a goal.
That trio of triumphs has put Ray McKinnon’s men firmly in the driving seat at the top of the table and they will be aiming to take another step towards securing the title when Stirling Albion come calling this weekend.
Kevin Rutkiewicz’ crew have taken seven points from a possible nine since the resumption of football in the Scottish fourth-tier and it’s also worth noting that the Binos have been beaten only once in 12 league outings this term.
However, a trip to top-heavy Queen’s Park will represent Albion’s toughest test to date and I fancy the free-scoring Spiders to put Stirling to the sword on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts are a general 8/15 to bank another three points here, while two or more Queen’s strikes is widely available at quotes of 8/11, but both are a bit too short to put up so I’ll head to the Bet Builder market to get a slightly bigger price.
If we combine over one Queen’s Park goal alongside Queen’s Park double chance, we can get some 4/5 with Bet 365 and that looks like a nice way in.
Queen’s have notched up two or more strikes in nine of their 12 League Two outings thus far, not to mention they have made the net bulge at least twice in each of their last eight league matches.
Indeed, Stirling boast the second-best defensive record in the division, but they have conceded in four of their six road trips to date, and on three of those occasions the Binos backline was breached more than once.
With that in mind, coupled with the array of firepower at full-time Queen’s Park’s disposal, I’m more than happy to back the Spiders to bag another brace this weekend.
What’s more, the above-mentioned Bet Builder has banked in each of Queen’s last eight League Two assignments and that only adds to the appeal of supporting the same formula at the Falkirk Stadium on Saturday.
