Friday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me delve into both the Turkish and German top-flight and there’s two sides at home who I like the look of to score at least twice.
Trabzonspor vs Kayserispor
🇹🇷 Süper Lig
⏰ Friday 25th February, 17:00
League Leaders Trabzonspor will look to extend their lead at the top of the Turkish Süper Lig, as they host 9th placed Kayserispor. The hosts are currently 14 points clear at the top, whilst the visitors are just three points behind 6th placed Beşiktaş.
Trabzonspor blew away Alanyaspor last time out, as they scored four first-half goals to win the match 0-4. Abdullah Avci’s side are now unbeaten in their last 10 matches in the league, winning seven of them, including each of their last four. Trabzonspor are still undefeated in the league at the Medical Park Stadyumu this season, winning nine and drawing four of their 13 matches. Trabzonspor are the highest scorers in the Turkish Süper Lig, finding the back of the net 48 times in their opening 26 matches.
Kayserispor overcame relegation-threatened Giresunspor last time out, meaning they’ve now five successive victories on home turf. Hikmet Karaman’s side have lost just one of their last 10 in the league, but they do tend to struggle on their travels. Only two sides have collected fewer points on their travels than Kayserispor, with them collecting just eight points out of a possible 39, winning just once. No side in the league has conceded more goals away from home than Kayserispor, with them conceding 28 goals in their 13 matches.
Hoffenheim vs VfB Stuttgart
🇩🇪 Bundesliga
⏰ Friday 25th February, 19:30
Two sides at opposite ends of the Bundesliga table meet at the PreZero Arena, as Hoffenheim host VfB Stuttgart. The hosts come into matchday 24 in 6th, behind both Freiburg and RB Leipzig on goal difference, whilst the visitors are 17th and four points from automatic safety.
After four successive defeats in both the Bundesliga and the DFB Pokal, Hoffenheim have got back to winning ways, firstly defeating Arminia Bielefeld 2-0, then winning 1-2 away to Wolfsburg last time out. Hoffenheim have collected 23 of their 37 points in Sinsheim, with them W7-D2-L2. Sebastian Hoeneß’s side have found the back of the net 25 times in their 11 home matches, scoring on multiple occasions in nine of those.
Stuttgart drew 1-1 at home to Bochum last time out but it would’ve felt like a defeat, with them conceding a 94th minute penalty. Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side have now failed to win any of their last eight in the Bundesliga, losing six of them. Stuttgart have kept only three clean sheets in the league so far this season, with all three coming against bottom-half sides. Only three sides have conceded more goals than Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, with Die Roten conceding 43 goals in their opening 23 fixtures.
Bet of the Day
Trabzonspor are 14 points clear of the Turkish Süper Lig and are on course to win their first league title since 1984. Abdullah Avci’s side are unbeaten in their last 10 in the league, winning each of their last four and will fancy their chances against a side that’s failed to win any of their last 11 away from home. No side has conceded more goals away from home than Kayserispor and I can see them conceding at least twice against the champions-elect. Hoffenheim come into this winning each of their last and will be confident of collecting all three points against a Stuttgart side that’s failed to win any of their last eight in the Bundesliga. Sebastian Hoeneß’s side have scored two or more in 9/11 in Sinsheim this season and I like the look of them to score another brace against a struggling Stuttgart side that’s managed just three clean sheets all season.
- Trabzonspor to Score 2+
- Hoffenheim to Score 2+
- Double Pays 71/50 (William Hill)
