Between them they have 20 Champions League / European Cup titles and for both Liverpool and Real Madrid being crowned champions of Europe again looks their best chance of silverware this season.
Both are off the pace in their domestic leagues with the Reds having their work cut out to secure a Champions League place for next season. The problem is we don’t know which Liverpool will turn up so the even money on Salah and co. to score two or more in front of the Kop could be a better option.
Napoli hold an incredible 15-point lead in Serie A and are enjoying a phenomenal season domestically and in Europe. Their only defeat in the group stages came thanks to two late goals for Liverpool at Anfield in the final matchday when they’d already secured top spot. At 11/1 to win the Champions League they could be lively outsiders.
They’re short-priced favourites at 1/3 to qualify from the Last-16 tie with Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Germans were Europa League winners last season and came through a relatively weak Group which included Spurs, Marseille and Sporting, whom they beat on the final matchday to secure 2nd place.
Despite being sixth in the Bundesliga table they’re only five points off the three joint leaders; Bayern, Dortmund and Union Berlin.
Napoli are without doubt the form team in Europe at the moment and would fancy their chances against any side on the continent at the moment. Over the course of two legs Luciano Spalletti should prevail and they look a reasonable price at 23/20 to claim a first leg advantage.
