Spurs are second in the table and they could move to the summit this weekend, should results go their way, while City have improved after a sluggish start and they can move towards the top four if they claim the spoils.
Jose Mourinho’s side have won both of their games against City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the North London outfit are enjoying an impressive unbeaten run in the league, having not lost any of their last seven matches.
Tottenham have only suffered two defeats across all competitions this season – to Everton in the league and Antwerp in the Europa League – and they will fancy their chances against the Citizens.
However, City do have Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling back in training and the attacking duo could play a part in the fixture, either from the start or off the bench.
Pep Guardiola’s decision to sign a new contract this week may also give City a lift against Spurs, who are without Matt Doherty and Erik Lamela.
With both teams in good form heading into the contest, it is hard to pick out a winner and a scoring draw may be the betting route to go down at odds of 33/10.
United Eager to Move Away From Relegation Zone
Saturday’s evening kick-off sees Manchester United welcome West Bromwich Albion to Old Trafford, with the Red Devils just seven points above them in the table.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have only picked up 10 points from their first seven matches and the pressure continues to grow on the Norwegian boss, who is fighting to keep his job.
West Brom are winless in the league this season under Slaven Bilic, with their only success coming against Harrogate Town in the League Cup, and they head into the game sitting in the relegation zone.
United are waiting on Marcus Rashford to pass a fitness test due to a shoulder injury, while summer arrival Alex Telles could also return to the fold to bolster the options.
The Baggies did win their last Premier League match against the Red Devils in 2018, which may offer some hope, but United have not lost consecutive league games against West Brom since 1980.
Solskjaer’s men have kept three clean sheets in their last three games at Old Trafford and they may be worth backing to win to nil at odds of 13/10.
Playmaker Bruno Fernandes is also one to watch. The midfielder is one of just two players to have had 20 or more shots and created 20 or more chances this season, the other being Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
Fernandes is United’s penalty taker and is 5/4 to score anytime this weekend.
