Saturdays don’t come much better than this!
The Grand National will steal all the headlines but from early on there’s wall-to-wall live football (including El Clasico) and Day Three of what’s already shaping up to be a thrilling Masters tournament in Augusta.
Let’s deal with the racing first. The National goes off at 5.15pm and is live on ITV. As for the golf, keep an eye for The Caddy’s thoughts at the midway stage of The Masters where Justin Rose tops the leaderboard by a stroke. There’s plenty of big names lining up behind him with an eye on that green jacket and it should make for facinating viewing over the next two evenings.
Saturday’s Football Tips
Man City kick things off at lunchtime when they can take another step closer to the title. The Citizens need 11 points from their remaining seven matches to secure the title and should make that just eight points with a win over Leeds.
City usually dominate these matches and one way to cash in on their dominance is to look at shots bets and player props. City have more shots on target per match than any other side in the Premier League (5.84) but the line is set at Over 6.5 here priced at just 4/6, however the total shots market appeals a bit more. Over 17.5 City shots is 11/10. They average 15.55 but thats higher at home so there could be value there. Alternatively look to Kevin De Bruyne who is the architect of most the good things City do. He’s 1/1 to provide an assist at Bet365.
Slips tips finds a couple of angles to get onside with the home side in his Man City v Leeds Utd Preview.
El Clasico is the footballing highlight on Saturday evening. Bookies make Barca favourites to win in Madrid which is surprising considering they’ve struggled when it’s mattered most this season. The match is live on Premier Sports / La Liga TV and KevMAc thinks it’ll be a close one decided by a single goal in his match Real Madrid v Barcelona Match Preview.
