Fridays evenings aren’t quite the same without the Austrian and French second tiers so its great to see them both return with the 1st round of matches of the new 19/20 season taking place today.
These two leagues will be where my primary focus is on a Friday night and that’s includes the three goals specials that I will post every week. It’s always hard at the start of the season, especially in such a competitive league as Ligue 2 but I’ve picked out a couple of bets for tonight.
We also have some great looking games from Estonia at tea time.
Paide v Tammeka (KO 5pm)
Top flight action from Estonia and a club who have been good to me this season, Paide, are in action at home against a Tammeka side who sit 20 points below them.
The hosts have been in terrific form and have racked up 19 goals in just their last three home games ( 6-0 7-1 6-1). Those wins were against sides just a few points behind todays opponents and we should see them score some more goals today.
Tammeka are also in fine form, having recovered from 5 consecutive defeats, they are now unbeaten in 7. Both sides have scored in 9 of the last 10 meetings between the sides and given the form of Paide, I’d fancy them to score a couple here.

Rodez vs Auxerre (KO 7pm)
Its a Ligue 2 debut for new Boys Rodez after last seasons promotion from the Nacional league and I would usually stay away from betting against newly promoted sides, however, given this game is being played 100 miles away in Toulouse due to the ongoing construction of their home ground, it certainly removes the home advantage banner and in my opinion, gives Auxerre a much better chance had the game been played at Rodez.
The visitors are in a bit of a rut in this league having now been in the second tier for 7 seasons but the appointment of new manager Juan-Mac Furlan is a massive coup. He’s lead numerous sides to the title in Ligue 2 and there is a strong belief he can get this side challenging for promotion.
Auxerre are a massive 9/5 to win this and its worth having a gamble on with this being played at a neutral venue.

Regulars will know I usually post goals specials from Austria and France on a Friday night and that will be the same for the 19/20 season. They won’t land every week, in fact, In France they may only land 3 or 4 times but that’s all you need to ensure profit over the course of the season.
Last season by September I posted 40/1 and 50/1 first half goals winners in France which covered my bets for the season on this market and gave a profit of 50 times what was staked, all by September.
These won’t land every week but if you love goals they are worth backing and are enjoyable to watch.
