Bleed eSports have gone through a major roster overhaul over the last two months, now fielding a mixed lineup of returning and new faces, which didn’t need long to show up. In November, Bleed eSports won Skyesports SEA Championship with dominant wins against GodSquad (2-0) and Made in Thailand (2-0, 3-1), largely thanks to Tyler James “juicy” Aeria and Ngô “crazyguy” Anh.
Unfortunately, Bleed couldn’t find the same success at AfreecaTV SEA Invitational, where juicy and his crew crashed out with a 1-2 record and defeats against XERXIA (11-13) and Fancy United Esports (11-13). Not the result Bleed were hoping for, but it’s hard to criticise them for those close losses.
Velocity Gaming also attended Skyesports SEA Championship but lost both of their series against Made in Thailand (0-2) and GodSquad (1-2). However, they found success at the Penta Pro Series Playoffs qualifying event last week, when they won all four of their games, including two against Revenant Esports (2-1, 3-2).
So while Bleed eSports have shown more lately, Velocity have proven they can be competitive and should be able to cause some damage if they can translate their form from the qualifiers. Expect a close series in what should be a pivotal match for a spot in the playoffs.

BOOM Esports rebuilt its roster in October, just a month after the Indonesian esports team learned that it didn’t receive an invite for the partnered league. Forced to let go of the roster that achieved a lot of success in the domestic league, BOOM Esports brought in young talent that initially struggled but soon found their footing.
BOOM already impressed at AfreecaTV SEA Invitational earlier this month, where the Indonesian squad placed third, with just one loss, against the eventual champions, Made in Thailand. BOOM also defeated a partnered team Rex regnum Qeon (2-1), which looks impressive, but nothing to write home about.
Revenant Esports entered Valorant esports in March 2022 and have since found some success in various regional events, with a third place in TEC Challenger Series 9 after finishing fourth in Series 8 and second in Series 7. Moreover, Revenant Esports are 3-3 across their last six games, which includes three losses against Velocity Gaming (0-2, 1-2, 2-3).
On paper, this looks like BOOM Esports’ game to lose, but that might have to do with the brand recognition more than the teams’ actual strength. Revenant, while weaker, have shown enough for us to believe they can put up a fight and take at least one map.
