Cameron Norrie will carry British hopes in the mens’ quarter finals at Wimbledon after a straightforward win on Centre Court on Sunday.
The 26 year old will play unseeded David Goffin for a place in the semi-final and he’s just 4/9 to progress at the Belgian’s expense.
Norrie remains a rank outsider to win outright, largely down the prospect of him facing Novak Djokovic in the semis. Djokovic had to shift up a gear to book his place in the last eight where he faces 10th seed Jannick Sinner. The Serb is now just 4/9 to make it four Wimbledon title in a row.
In the other half of the draw we’ve got the motuhwatering prospect of a Nadal v Kyrgios semi-final. There’s never a dull moment when the Aussie is around and depending on your point of view you’ll either want to see Nadal put him in his place or to see the headline-grabbing 27 year old reach the first slam final of his career.
After seeing off two Brits in the last two rounds The Ace is liking the look of another Aussie on Monday, 23 year old Aussie Alex de Minaur, as he aims to book a place in the last eight.
