Leeds United’s season has yet to get going after the first nine games, with injuries playing a part in the disappointing start, but they will be hoping to kickstart their campaign at Norwich City on Sunday.
Although struggling to string results together, the Whites don’t look low on confidence and a trip to Carrow Road to take on the Canaries, who are winless and bottom of the Premier League, should hold no fears.
Sunday’s fixture is the first of two in the Premier League, with an entertaining battle expected between Aston Villa and West Ham United at 16:30.
Farke’s Men to Falter at Home
Norwich do not look like ending their ‘yo-yo’ reputation, having only picked up two points from their opening nine matches, and they look destined for a return to the Championship at the moment.
The Canaries were smashed 7-0 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last time out, destroying the fragile confidence even more, and they welcome a Leeds team that look close to rediscovering their best.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have only won once this season but only two of their four defeats have come by a margin of more than one goal, showing they have been well in matches before faltering slightly.
Only Manchester United and Liverpool have comfortably beaten the Whites, and Bielsa’s side come into the game on the back of a morale-boosting 1-1 draw against Wolves.
Rodrigo’s late penalty seems to have given everyone a lift and with Junior Firpo and Raphinha fit enough to play, Leeds should come out on top.
Norwich have not scored in any of their last five matches, and an away win to nil is priced at 11/4.
Hammers to Nail Inconsistent Villa
Aston Villa boss Dean Smith is under pressure, having seen his side lose four of their last five matches in all competitions, although he insists the performances haven’t been dreadful.
Villa have started to ship goals for fun at the moment, having conceded eight goals in their previous three matches, but they have won three of their previous five games at home.
However, there’s every chance they will still be suffering a hangover from their 3-2 defeat to Wolves earlier this month. Villa were 2-0 up at home and cruising, but they conceded three goals inside the final 10 minutes to lose 3-2.
West Ham might be one of the worst teams to play at the moment in the Premier League, with David Moyes’ side going nicely in all competitions, including the Carabao Cup and Europa League.
The Hammers have won four in a row, failing to concede in all four of those battles, while they have only lost two of their previous 10 matches.
An away win catches the eye at 29/20, and the Hammers should have too much quality in the final third for Villa.
