MARK McGHEE and Stephen Robinson are still waiting for their first wins since returning to a Premiership dugout so the stakes are high when Dundee host St Mirren tonight.
Dens boss McGhee claimed a deserved draw against old club Motherwell at the weekend and has now collected two points from his first four games.
But his former Fir Park assistant Robinson has slipped to three successive defeats since taking charge in Paisley so he needs to deliver tonight.
St Mirren still have the better squad so they are McBookie’s 6/4 favourites, with Dundee as big as 19/10 and the draw paying 11/5.
The Buddies haven’t even scored under Robinson while the Dark Blues have also struggled for goals so I’m betting against BTTS at 19/20 with Bet365.
Under 2.5 goals also looks good, although the odds aren’t great at a best 8/11 with the same firm.
In the Champions League, Manchester City’s clash with Sporting Lisbon is effectively a dead rubber after their 5-0 win in Lisbon.
I’d expect both managers to field weakened teams so under 3.5 goals looks good value at 4/5 (SBK) for accas.
The other tie should be more exciting with PSG defending a 1-0 lead in Spain against Real Madrid. Karim Benzema is Real Madrid’s man for the big occasion and appeals at 13/10 (Unibet) for anytime scorer.
The bookies fancy goals with BTTS just 6/11 (SBK) and over 2.5 strikes 8/11 (Bet365) but with just one goal in it this could be cagey so I’m going for under 2.5 goals at 29/20 (Sporting Index).
Super Single
- BTTS no at Dundee v St Mirren (19/20, Bet365).
Under 3.5 Goals Double
- City v Sporting and Real v PSG (186/100, SBK).
McBookie bet builder
- Combining under 2.5 goals with the half-time draw at Dens pays 139/100
