Two of European football’s giants face off in Madrid tonight and KevMac reckons it could be a cagey affair in the first leg between Real Madrid and Liverpool.
Real Madrid v Liverpool
LIVERPOOL will be on a revenge mission in their Champions League clash with Real Madrid tonight after a heartbreaking loss in the 2018 final.
Dodgy keeping from Loris Karius and brilliance from Gareth Bale stopped Jurgen Klopp’s men getting their hands on the Cup a year before they finally lifted the trophy after beating Spurs.
Now they face Real for the first time since that defeat in Kiev, with the first leg of a blockbuster quarter-final being held in Madrid.
A few weeks ago you wouldn’t have given the Reds a prayer but they have now won three in a row without conceding and are just 40/85 with McBookie to avoid defeat tonight.
Real are in fine form themselves, going 11 without defeat, so they look a decent price at 17/10 for a win.
But it’s a hard one to call so I’m betting on a cagey first leg instead, with under 2.5 goals priced 21/20 at McBookie.
Manchester City v Borussia Dortmund
It should be more open when Manchester City host a Dortmund side who have conceded 10 goals in their last five games.
City are 23/20 with William Hill to score in each half and that looks good value while deadly Dortmund hitman Erling Haaland looks overpriced at 2/1 (Unibet) for a goal.
Action in Scotland
There’s almost a full card of lower-league action in Scotland tonight and I fancy a few goals.
Dundee are always good value in the BTTS market and travel to Ayr while there should be goals when Airdie host Falkirk. A BTTS double pays 242/100 at McBookie.
Super Singles
- Under 2.5 goals in Madrid (21/20, McBookie)
- City to score in each half (23/20, William Hill)
McBookie Star Bet
- Mark McKenzie scored twice when Ayr beat Dundee at Dens and is 15/8 for a goal tonight
