THIS one may just see home side ÍBV contract a serious case of IBS as they come face to face with The Urvalsdeield’s top side in KR Reykjavik!
ÍBV VS. KR (5.00pm)
KR were my pre-season fancies after a really strong showing towards the end of the last campaign and have justified that confidence with a sh*t-hot start; 26 points from a possible 33 and 7 back to back league wins sees them sitting pretty at the top of the table.
It’s rare to see a bit of daylight at the top midway through the season but KR are 4 points clear of Briedablik in 2nd and a whopping 7 points clear of 3rd placed Stjarnan with a game in hand – I sense that the gap may be bigger still as they travel to Vestmannaeyjar – home of the (currently) woeful ÍBV.
The hosts have so far amassed a 5 point haul after 10 matches and are rooted to the foot of the table looking ever more likely for relegation with each game; the 15 goals conceded in their last 5 consecutive doesn’t offer much hope, especially if you consider KR have hit 2-3-2-3-3 team goals in their own most recent 5 against vastly superior opposition.
My two slight reservations are that KR haven’t done too well against ÍBV away from home in recent years and that KR have an impending Europa Qualifier against Molde in 6 days time – the former can be argued away by the fact that KR are in infinitely better form than last season whilst the latter will most likely be negated with KR treating today’s match as a conditioning excercise rather than a slacking excercise!
Recommended bets
- KR over 2.5 team goals
- (6/4, bet365) NAP
- KR over 3.5 team goals
