WE’VE seen the best and worst of Brazil at Copa America on their way to the Final on home soil.
Tite’s men were booed off after a 0-0 group stage draw against Venezuela then needed penalties to see off Paraguay in the quarters after another scoreless 90 minutes.
But in the absence of Neymar they also pumped Peru 5-0 in the group stage and beat Argentina 2-0 in a hard-fought semi-final.
Peru are their surprise opponents again in tomorrow’s final in Rio and they’ve done well to recover from such a damaging defeat and with a no-hopers tag.
They also needed pens to KO Uruguay in the last eight then hammered holders Chile to make the showpiece.
Not surprisingly they are massive underdogs after that five-goal tousing and Brazil are no bigger than 2-7 with BetVictor to win in 90 minutes.
It’s been a strange Copa but it’s difficult to see past the hosts who have so much firepower and up against a nation with just three wins in 15.
Gabriel Jesus netted the opener against Argentina and Tite has been full of praise for the Man City striker who is 3-1 with the likes of William Hill and Ladbrokes to score first again and 23-20 to score.
He will of course have serious competition from the likes of Roberto Firmino, Richarlison, Willian and Philippe Coutinho so the anytime bet is a much safer option.
At the other end keeper Allison Becker is on the form of his life and hasn’t conceded in his last eight games for Liverpool and Brazil.
No one has found a way past him at this year’s Copa and Brazil to win to nil pays 3-4 at Marathonbet.
The tournament has generally been an unders one – three of the four quarter-finals finished 0-0 after 90 minutes – and under 2.5 goals has a chance at 17-20 with Marathonbet assuming Peru don’t collapse.
Recommended Bets (Sun, 9pm)
- Brazil to win to nil
- Jesus to score
