After a Saturday filled with FA Cup shocks, Harrogate Town, along with several other teams playing on Sunday, will be hoping to book their place in the fourth round when they make the trip to Luton Town for the 12:30 KO.
Luton’s main priority this season is to secure their Championship status and while a run in the FA Cup would be a bonus for supporters, this competition is unlikely to be high up on manager Nathan Jones’ agenda.
This could open up the door for League Two outfit Harrogate, who are still very much in the hunt for a playoff position and head into this contest at Kenilworth Road on a two-game winning streak.
Simon Weaver’s men have also looked impressive on the road, suffering just one defeat from their last six away matches across all competitions, and they could be worth a look at 15/2 to win the clash in 90 minutes.
Addicks to Pile Misery on Canaries
It has been a dismal season so far for Norwich City, who sit rock-bottom of the Premier League standings, and Dean Smith’s focus is understandably on trying to get the club out of the relegation mess they find themselves in.
Watford, Burnley and Newcastle United, who sit 17th, 18th and 19th respectively in the top flight, have all been knocked out of the FA Cup at the third-round stage, and it would be no surprise to see the Canaries join them.
Smith’s side have lost their last five games, conceding 14 times and failing to find the back of the net once, and they travel to a Charlton side that have won seven of their last nine games across all competitions at The Valley.
Johnnie Jackson’s men are 23/10 to chalk up another home win and claim the Premier League scalp of Norwich.
Prem Duo to Avoid Upset
Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur should both safely secure their passage in the fourth round of the competition when they play host to Shrewsbury Town and Morecambe respectively, with both games kicking off at 14:00.
The Reds did face Shrewsbury in the fourth round in the 2019/20 edition and although Jurgen Klopp’s men were forced into a replay, having drawn the first leg 2-2 before winning the next encounter 1-0, they should have too much this time around.
As for Spurs, they are yet to lose at home since Antonio Conte took charge and they will be confident of putting a few goals past League Two Morecambe, who sit in the relegation zone and have lost their last two away matches by an aggregate score of 0-7.
Hammers to Send Leeds Packing
There’s an all-Premier League tie at the London Stadium as West Ham United, flying high in the table in fifth, take on a Leeds side still struggling with injuries and Covid absences.
David Moyes’ men have won their last two games, scoring seven goals in the process, and they will be confident of overcoming an opposition that have failed to win any of their last four away assignments.
A West Ham win at 5/8 looks a solid option, while a home win and over 2.5 goals is also worth of consideration at 13/10.
Plenty More Action to Take in
There are another four third-round ties taking place on Sunday, with Cardiff City playing host to Preston North End while Leyton Orient make the trip to Stoke City.
Wolverhampton Wanderers take on Sheffield United and the final match of the day, which kicks off at 17:10, will see Nottingham Forest welcome Arsenal to The City Ground.
