No surprise that my sole focus on Saturday will be the Scottish card as I look to make it 16 wining NAPs from the last 19 selections. It’s a card a really like the look of with a number of games and markers standing out.
Dumbarton host Airdrie and I’m left scratching my head my Dumbarton are as big as even money, The Sons are flying, are the form team in Division One and are scoring goals for fun. Airdrie are in poor shape and are have collected fewer points than anyone else in the last 6 games.
Dumbarton vs Airdrieonians (KO 3pm)
What a month its been for Dumbarton and midfielder Dominic Thomas – The sons have picked up 13 points from the last 15 available, scoring 15 goals in those 5 games. They are now unbeaten in 7 having scored 2 or more in their last 6 games which is some going for a team who a few months ago werre jist one win from 9.
Dominic Thomas has found the net 7 times in the last 5 games and will be looking to continue his purple patch in front of goal against an Airdire side who are struggling.
Don’t be fooled by the fact these two are both on 34 points – Dumbarton have the momentum at the moment, have home advantage and will be full of confidance that they can move furher away from the relegation places.
Anyone can score against anyone in this league and although i like the look of Dumbarton at even money, they are far from watertight defensively so going for team goals and a market that has landed in their last 6 games.
Recommended Bet:
- Dumbarton over 1.5 team goals
- 10/11 (Bet365) (NAP)

Forfar vs Raith Rovers (KO 3pm)
What a job Loons Boss Jim Weir has done at Station park, taking a team fightining relegation to being on the verge of securing a play spot with plenty of games to spare.
Much of that is down to the fact their have turned the place into a fortress – They’ve won 9 of their last 10 at home which is great going and incredible they scored 2+in each of those 10 games
They have great attacking options in Dylan Easton and Johh Baird and will fancy their chances of leap frogging fellow promotion hopefuls Raith who not so long ago where on thr tails of Leaders Arbroath.
Their away form has ben disappointing but they usually get on the scoresheet- they’ve scored in 12 of their last 14 away games and given the importance of this match to both sides, it should be a cracking game
Stenhousemuir v Stranrer (KO 3pm)
A few weks ago Stenny looked down and out but a terrifc win at Arbroath has and three draws has put them right on the tails of Brechin and Stranaer who are above them on goal difference and one point respectively.
12 of Stenny’s last 16 home games went over 2.5 goals – they dont keep many clean sheet’s
Stranraer’s games see plenty of goals and it’s hards not to see both sides getting on the scoresheet in what is anothe rcrcuial game for both these clubs
Recommended Bets:
- Over 2.5 goals double
- 21/10 (Bet365)

Berwick vs Peterhead (3pm)
Lowly Berwick have been completlery written off by the bookies and are 14/1 no hopers against league leaders Peterhead and its is easy to see why given the 50 points difference between the sides.
Its a 450 mile round trip for the Peterheadas they look ti make it 7 wins on the spin but they 5 of those win were only by a goal and whilst there is no doubt they’ll rack up another crucial three points, like any club in league one and two in scotland, are capabke of scoring.
A feat they have mamaged in 9 of their last 12 home games agaisnt Peterhead – agan i think the price is too big just for Berwick to score.
Recommneded Bet:
- Berwick to score
- 4/5 (William Hill)
