Its now officially business as usual on a Friday night with the Dutch Eerste Divisie returning to join the French and Austrian leagues.
The Dutch second tier has been firm favourite with punters for goals and its popularity has grown massively over the last few seasons. The only bad thing about this is the bookies are now wise to this and have cut the odds drastically. Still a great league to bet on though and one in which we should land plenty of winners from.
In the meantime I will focus on the French and Austrian leagues – all 8 games in France are odds against over 2.5 goals which presents a great opportunity to get stuck into the over 1.5 goals market at big odds. I expect at least 6 of these games to go over 1.5 goals.
The Austrian League has started as it finished last season and has already delivered plenty of goals (last week’s over 1.5 goals in all matches landed at 9/4) and will go close most weeks.
Nancy v Lorient (KO 7pm)
Its been a great start for the visitors who two wins from two which see the lead at this early stage of the season. They’ve already scored 5 goals and with their two strikers (Hamel & Wissa) continuing where they left off from last season they are going to be a real threat to Nancy.
Nancy have started the season off with two draws but they are string at home and more than capable of grabbing a goal. 9 of the last 10 meetings between the sides have seen at least two goals and taking that to be 10 from 11 after tonight.
Troyes vs Le Havre (KO 7pm)
Its been a win and a draw for Troyes but and no surprise that last season top scorer Touzghar has already netted in both games. The Tunisian scored 14 last season and will be full of confidence coming into this match against a Le Havre side that are still find their after 2-2 and 1-1 draws.
I highlighted Le Havre danger man Tino Kadewere last week Friday and he duly obliged by netting his third goal of the season at home to Niort and he’s another who’ll be full of confidence coming into this.
This should deliver at least two goals and like most of the games in this league, we are getting terrific odds on over 1.5 goals at the moment.
