Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the match in the English National League, and I’m keen to get the in-form visitors onside.

Barnet will look to strengthen their position inside the playoff positions as they travel to Glanford Park to take on relegation-threatened Scunthorpe United on Friday night.
Scunthorpe’s mini-revival continued last time out, as they scored inside the final 10 minutes to claim a 1-1 draw at home to Bromley. However, The Iron have won just four of their 15 league matches at home this season (W4-D3-L8) and head into this fixture having lost five of their previous seven. Only Dorking Wanderers (33) have conceded more goals at home in the National League this season that Scunthorpe, with Jimmy Dean’s side conceding 30 goals.
Barnet stretched their unbeaten record in the National League to nine matches on Tuesday evening, as they won 0-2 at 10th-placed Eastleigh. That result also maintained Barnet’s impressive record recently on their travels, with Dean Brennan’s side winning four and drawing one of their previous five away league matches. The Bees are the second-highest-scoring away side in the English fifth-tier, netting 26 goals across their 12 road trips this season.
Bet of the Day
Barnet remains one of two sides in the division – the other being league leaders Notts County – to have found the back of the net in every away match in the National League this season. What’s more, The Bees have scored on multiple occasions in eight of their 12 away matches this season – including in six of their previous seven – and I’m backing them to bag another double away to a Scunthorpe side that’s kept just one clean sheet across their 15 league matches as hosts this season, conceding at least twice in 10 of them.
