Two sides who have made winning starts to their World Cup campaigns meet at Stadium 974 tomorrow afternoon as Brazil take on Switzerland.
Following an unbeaten qualification campaign in which they won 14 of their 17 World Cup qualifiers, Brazil arrived in Qatar as tournament favourites. After a goalless first half, two second-half goals from Spurs striker Richarlison (including an exquisite strike for the second) gave A Seleção a winning start in Group G, and brought up last Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day.
Switzerland booked their place in Qatar by finishing top of their qualifying group, finishing two points clear of European champions Italy. Like many of the matches at this year’s World Cup, Switzerland’s group opener with Cameroon was goalless at halftime, but a Breel Embolo strike at the start of the second half gave Murat Yakin a winning start to their campaign.

Brazil was mightily impressive against Serbia on Thursday night and in truth, the scoreline could’ve been more emphatic. Losing Neymar for the rest of the group stage is a blow, but I’m backing Tite’s side to break down a stubborn Switzerland side and make it two wins from two.
