Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me travel to Scandinavia and there’s a side in the Finnish Veikkausliiga who I reckon will have too much firepower for their struggling opponents.

Inter Turku will look to maintain their position in fourth-spot in the Veikkausliiga table, as they travel to the Lahden Stadion to take on second from bottom Lahti.
Lahti’s winless run in the league was extended to six matches last time out, as they were thrashed 5-1 by Inter Turku away from home. Ilir Zeneli’s side have now lost four of their last five matches in the Veikkausliiga, with their sole point coming against the only side below them in the table, HIFK. The Black Drones have collected nine points from their opening 12 league matches this season (W2-D3-L7), with just one of those points coming in-front of their own supporters. No side in the Finnish top-flight has conceded more goals than Lahti, with them having conceded 24 times, with 14 of those having come in their last five matches.
Inter Turku extended their unbeaten run to five matches last time out, as they thumped their upcoming opponents 5-1 at home. José Riveiro’s side have taken seven points from a possible 15 on their travels so far this season (W2-D1-L2), with both defeats coming against KuPS (1st) and Honka (3rd). The Black and Blues are the top-scorers in the Veikkausliiga, finding the back of the net 24 times in their opening 12 fixtures. Inter have found the back of the net in 10/12 of their league matches this season (including in all five away), scoring on multiple occasions in seven of those, including in each of their last four.
Bet of the Day
Not only are both of these two sides at opposite ends of the table, but they also come into this match in contrasting form, with the hosts having lost four of their last five, whilst the visitors are unbeaten in five. Ilir Zeneli’s hosts have the worst defensive record in the Veikkausliiga, conceding 24 times and I reckon that tally will increase when coming up against the league’s top-scoring side. Inter have found the back of the net on multiple occasions seven times already this season, including in four of their last five and I’m happy to back them to bag another brace against a side that’s conceded at least twice in four of their last five and who they hammered 5-1 in the reverse fixture just 10 days ago.
