Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the English Premier League and there’s one match in particular that I like the look of for goals at both ends.
Chelsea vs Leicester City
🏴 Premier League
⏰ Saturday 27th August, 15:00
Two sides who haven’t made great starts to their Premier League campaigns meet at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon, as Chelsea play host to Leicester City.
After opening their Premier League campaign with a slender 0-1 victory away at Everton, Chelsea could count themselves majorly unlucky not to make it back-to-back wins, as they drew 2-2 with Spurs in a hugely controversial encounter. However, Thomas Tuchel’s side were thrashed 3-0 at Leeds United last Sunday in a match they ended with 10-men, thanks to Kalidou Koulibaly’s late dismissal. The Blues have conceded in 12 of their last 15 Premier League matches at Stamford Bridge, conceding two or more in six of those. Since the start of last season, Chelsea have found the back of the net in 19/20 of their league matches at home, with Manchester City being the only side to shut them out.
Leicester’s winless start to the league this season continued last time out, as they threw away a one-goal lead to lose 1-2 at home to Southampton in a match which brought up last Saturday’s Bet of the Day. Brendan Rodgers’ side also lost a two-goal lead at home to Brentford on the opening day of the season to draw 2-2, before losing 4-2 away at early pace-setters Arsenal. Leicester’s only Premier League clean sheet away from home since the start of last season came against relegated Burnley, with them conceding on multiple occasions in 12 of those matches. The Foxes have only failed to score in two of those 20 matches on their travels, with both of those matches coming against Liverpool and Arsenal.

Bet of the Day
Both Chelsea and Leicester have not made great starts to their Premier League campaigns and come into this fixture off the back of damaging defeats against Leeds and Southampton respectively. Chelsea currently lie in 11th position in the league table, whilst only West Ham lie below the visiting Foxes.
Thomas Tuchel’s Blues have found the back of the net in 19 of their last 20 Premier League matches at Stamford Bridge and I can’t see a Leicester defence that’s conceded in all bar one of their last 20 away matches keeping them out. However, Brendan Rodgers’ visitors have only failed to score in two of their last 20 away from home in the Premier League and I fancy them also to get on the scoresheet against a Chelsea defence that’s conceded in 12 of their last 15 league matches at Stamford Bridge.
