WEDNESDAY proved to be a terrific night for punters backing goals and it was great seeing all 5 of my tips land with the Liverpool games going as planned and plenty of goals scored in the UCL and the English Championship.
Thursday presents a stiffer challenge in the Europa league and some really intriguing matches, its a case of two extremes, Celtic at home to Cluj and on the outer most reaches of Europa, Astana host Partizan Belgrade.
Celtic vs CFR Cluj (KO 8pm)
Celtic’s Champions League conqueror’s Cluj return to the east end of Glasgow having knocked out the Glasgow side 5-4 on aggregate
Neil Lennon’s side have been in terrific form this season season scoring plenty of goals. They’ll be look for retribution and to build on their well deserved 1-1 on match day One in Rennes.
Both sides know each other well and I’d expect another open match tonight – There are a couple of markets I’ve looked at but I like the look of the Skybet Requestabet on cards goals and corners.
Be really surprised if we didn’t see at least 2 goals and with both sides liking to attack each side should manage 3+ corners. Shouldn’t be far away.
Recommended Bet:
- Over 1.5 goals
- Each team 3+ corners
- 3+ bookings
- 11/10 (Skybet)
Astana vs Partizan Belgrade (KO 3.50pm)
Kazakhstan isn’t an easy place to visit and when you look at Astana’ home form, especially in Europe, clubs very rarely leave with 3 points.
I fancy Astana to take three points here but they play a decent Partizan side who are fine form domestically. Both sides like to attack, especially the home side – should be an open game and I like the odds against on over 2.5 goals
Recommended Bet:
- Over 2.5 goals
- 11/10 (Bet365)
