IN partnership with our new Asian Handicap Partners, SlipsTips brings us his pick of the best Asian Handicap tips for this weekend.
If you’re a keen Asian Handicap bettor or just a casual Asian Handicap punter then VOdds is a comprehensive tool that quickly lets you see the best prices available AND allows you to bet direct from their site with the added advantage of being able to use the likes of Pinnacle and SBOBET which are otherwise unavailable to punters in the UK.
Crystal Palace v Newcastle (Saturday 15:00)
Both Crystal Palace and Newcastle will know that a victory on Saturday will provide them with breathing space in the battle to beat the drop.
The Eagles and the Magpies lie 14th and 13th in the Premier League table respectively, with Palace just six points above the relegation zone.
Roy Hodgson’s side are the lowest scorers in the league and Newcastle are joint second-bottom in the goals scored charts and as such a low-scoring affair could lie in wait.
However, I suspect there could be cards in what could be a closely-fought contest between two sides who will be desperate to avoid being dragged into the relegation dogfight.
What’s more, referee Peter Bankes will take charge of this clash in the capital and given that he is averaging 4.2 cards per game, I like the look of backing over 3.50 cards on the asian card line at odds of 1.806 with Pinnacle via VOdds.
SPAL v Juventus (Saturday 17:00)
It’s top versus bottom on Saturday evening as Juventus travel to Serie A basement boys SPAL.
The Old Lady were knocked off top spot two weeks ago after falling to a 2-1 loss away at Verona, however, Maurizio Sarri’s side moved back to the summit last Sunday following a 2-0 win over Brescia, coupled with with Lazio’s 2-1 triumph over Inter.
With both Lazio and Inter not in action until Sunday, Juventus will be presented with an opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table, at least temporarily.
Standing in the reigning champions way is a SPAL side who have lost eight of their last nine outings in the Italian top-flight and as a result find themselves stranded at the bottom of the table.
Indeed, Juventus may have one eye on their Champions League meeting with Lyon in midweek, however, Sarri’s star-studded side should have too much quality for confidence-stricken SPAL.
Therefore, I’m going to back Juventus to overcome a -1.25 handicap at odds of 1.900 with Pinnacle via VOdds – a bet that will only see you completely out of pocket should the visitors fail to record a victory.
Strasbourg v Amiens (Saturday 19:00)
Strasbourg will be looking to continue their quietly impressive season when they welcome Amiens to the Stade de la Meinau on Saturday night.
Thierry Laurey’s team lie seventh in Ligue 1 and they will start the weekend just four points off the final Champions League qualification spot.
Strasbourg picked up a well-deserved point on the road at Lyon last weekend and in doing so the hosts have now lost just two of their last nine matches in the French top-flight.
Indeed, Amiens will head to Strasbourg high in confidence after playing out a pulsating 4-4 draw with PSG last Saturday, however, the Unicorns remain in the bottom-three and are winless since November.
Luka Elsner’s side have only managed to pick up seven points on their travels this term and they have the second-leakiest defence in the division.
Given that in-form Strasbourg have scored two or more goals in four of their last six matches at home, taking the hosts to overcome a 0.50 handicap at odds of 1.770 with ShiBo via VOdds takes appeal – a bet that has landed in three of Strasbourg’s last four home games.
