It’s been just over two months since the Champions League group stage drew to a close, and an awful lot has happened in the football world since then.
It’s a welcome return of the world’s premier club competition and, to celebrate the start of the knockout rounds, we’re taking another look at all the Champions League outright markets.
We’ve also put together a huge 74/1 Round of 16 accumulator, hoping to continue our Champions League success after landing a massive 57/1 group winner accumulator back in December.

Champions League winner prediction – Bayern Munich at 3/1
We tipped Bayern Munich to retain their title at 4/1 back at the beginning of the group stage, but we simply can’t look beyond the Bavarian giants and, if you missed out at the start of the season, they’re still well worth backing.
Bayern were on a completely difference level to anyone else in the Champions League last term and head into their last 16 tie with Lazio unbeaten in the competition since March 2019. They have won 16 of their 17 games since, scoring 61 goals and conceding just 13. This includes a 7-2 thrashing of Spurs and an utter humiliation of Barcelona in their 8-2 win in August.
Admittedly they, like the vast majority of Europe’s top teams, have suffered a few slip ups this season but they have still lost just two competitive games and at the time of writing are riding the wave of a seven match winning streak.
The Bundesliga side are joint favourites alongside Manchester City and, considering the Citizens have never even made the final before, Bayern look the obvious choice.
Champions League outsider prediction – Sevilla at 40/1
Can the Europa League specialists step up their game and deliver on the biggest stage of all? At odds of 40/1, they look absolutely tremendous value given their experience in two-legged ties and their current form.
The reigning Europa League champions head into their tie with an out-of-form Borussia Dortmund on the back of a nine match winning streak in all competitions and they haven’t conceded a goal in seven fixtures.
Sevilla have hit their stride at just the right time and odds of 40/1 look incredibly generous for a side so well-versed in going all the way in Europe.
Champions League top goalscorer prediction – Robert Lewandowski at 5/1
Erling Braut Haaland may be the favourite, but our pick for the top goalscorer awards falls to another German based player.
Robert Lewandowski only played four of Bayern Munich’s six group stage matches but still managed to net three times and, while he is three goals off the pace, you can never rule the Polish marksman out.
He has scored 29 goals in 28 outings for Bayern this season and his record in the Champions League in recent years is sensational. Lewandowski has 26 goals in his last 22 appearances in the competition and with Bayern tipped to go all the way he’s almost certain to add to that tally.
Champions League Round of 16 accumulator
Barcelona to qualify vs PSG
Barcelona have started to hit their stride recently and head into their first leg tie with PSG having won seven of their last eight games. PSG are without Neymar and Angel Di Maria for the first leg at the Camp Nou and they have lost all four of their previous Champions League ties with Barca.
RB Leipzig to qualify vs Liverpool
Liverpool are in freefall right now after losing five of their last seven competitive games and they face an up and coming RB Leipzig side that went all the way to the Champions League semi-finals last season. Leipzig have won their last four games and have already beaten the likes of Manchester United and PSG this season.
Juventus to qualify vs Porto
Juventus haven’t been at their best this season but they should have the quality to see off a Porto side that have scored just once in their four previous meetings with the Turin outfit. They head into their first leg tie in Portugal having failed to win each of their last four matches.
Sevilla to qualify vs Borussia Dortmund
Sevilla have hit top form in recent weeks and host Dortmund on Wednesday having won nine consecutive games, keeping a clean sheet in each of their last seven. By contrast, Dortmund have won just two of their last seven games and find themselves all the way down in 6th position in the Bundesliga.
Atletico Madrid to quality vs Chelsea
Thomas Tuchel may have dragged this Chelsea team back to form but the new boss is yet to be truly tested. La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid will be one of his first big tests, with Diego Simeone’s side losing just one of their last 12 games and being eliminated in the Round of 16 stage in just one of the last six attempts.
Bayern Munich to qualify vs Lazio
Lazio drew four of their six Champions League group stage games but are fully expected to come unstuck against reigning world champions Bayern Munich. The Bavarians are unbeaten in 17 Champions League matches and have won 16 of those.
Atalanta to qualify vs Real Madrid
Real Madrid showed some real vulnerability in the group stages and they have never really found their feet this season. They have won just three of their last seven games at the time of writing and face an Atalanta side that have only lost one of their last 18 games, including results against Juventus, Roma, Milan, Lazio and Napoli.
Man City to qualify vs Borussia Monchengladbach
Borussia Monchengladbach have locked horns with Manchester City a few times in recent years and it’s rarely ended well for the Bundesliga outfit. They have lost three of their four meetings and conceded 11 goals in the process, while Pep Guardiola’s side are on a sensational run of 16 consecutive victories, conceding only five goals in that period.
