MY heading yesterday read “Man United to clean up like Ajax” but I didn’t believe it.
But miracles do happen and for the second night running we saw one in the Champions League.
Man United became the first team in CL history to lose 2-0 at home and qualify thanks to a remarkable win at PSG.
While it was 3-1 in Paris the score on the site was maccathered 0, Greg 1. The Liverpool fan tipped PSG to win to nil and questioned Greg napping United to score inside 70-odd minutes.
It took them just over 70 seconds and maccathered got it with both barrels. He asked for it but keep the banter sensible and don’t make it personal please.
My treble was downed by Young Boys’ heavy loss to Lucerne in the Swiss Cup so that was 1pt wasted.
Well done to Greg and all the other winners, especially those who fancied Man United.
Tonight’s it’s the turn of the Europa League. There are some match previews posted and I’ll pick out some tips around lunchtime.
