Morocco v Portugal = Portugal to WIN & Under 2.5 Match Goals
Morocco proved to be a nuisance for Spain on Tuesday with the Atlas Lions preventing La Roja from progressing to the quarter final stage. The North African side have been brilliantly defensively throughout the tournament, conceding just a single goal (an unlucky own goal against Canada) and they kept Spain at arm’s length for 120 minutes.
Nevertheless, Spain did hit the woodwork on a couple of occasions and Morocco are starting to pick up a few injuries with each passing match.
Portugal eased past Switzerland and looked entirely comfortable throughout the 90 minutes. Fernando Santos’ side haven’t been completely convincing so far, but they showed their attacking quality against the Swiss on Tuesday and a similar display should see them progress here.
England v France = Both Teams to Score – Yes
England and France will go head to head for a place in the WC semi-final and it could be a fascinating 90 minutes. Both sides have played well so far and they will each fancy their chances of progressing on Saturday evening. England eased past Senegal, yet they were fairly passive for the first 30 minutes. Nevertheless, England looked quick on the break and have players such as Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford who are capable of changing the game.
France had very few issues in getting past Poland in the previous round and Didier Deschamps’ side have been superb going forward so far. Although Kylian Mbappe is likely to take the majority of the headlines, both Antoine Griezmann and Olivier Giroud have played vital roles. It’s difficult to imagine Les Bleus drawing a blank.
