There’s afternoon jumps racing in Britain from Wincanton on Thursday and MansionBet are proud to sponsor the card at the Somerset venue.
They’ll be racing from 1.15pm-4.05pm, with six races in all, and our tipster has a race-by-race preview of the afternoon’s action.
You can watch it all via live streaming when logged into MansionBet, alongside all the UK and Irish racing action.
1.15 – MansionBet Proud To Support British Racing Maiden Hurdle (1m7f)
Those that have featured over hurdles don’t set the bar too high and so this looks a good opening opportunity for MASCAT to take advantage of. The Zoffany gelding attained a rating of 90 at his best on the Flat and has Tom Scudamore for assistance on this first foray over obstacles. He should make a good fist of things.
Selection: Mascat @ 4/6
1.45 – MansionBet Bet 10 Get 20 Novices’ Hurdle (2m4f)
Island Nation has made the frame in all three starts over timber so far and has his chance to notch a win now for Olly Murphy and Aidan Coleman. He sets the standard but ARCADE ATTRACTION was a winner over flights in May and has run well on both starts since over fences. Evan Williams’ charge remains on a feasible mark and has the consistent profile of one that should fare well.
Selection: Arcade Attraction @ 7/2
2.20 – Mansionbet Faller Insurance Handicap Hurdle (1m7f)
Given that she’s able to race without incurring a penalty for his victory at Ludlow last week, See The Sea must be high on any list of priorities for this race, but Thahab Ifraj (first) and GET BACK GET BACK (second) fought out the finish in this contest 12 months ago and it’s the latter that has strong claims now. He’s rated 5lb lower today and Harry Fry’s charge was clear in second at Exeter a week ago.
Selection: Get Back Get Back @ 3/1
2.55 – Mansionbet Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap Chase (3m1f)
Young Wolf ran with much more purpose behind Friends Don’t Ask at Uttoxeter last month and Jonjo O’Neill’s charge is now very well handicapped if building on that effort, though the latter may prove a big threat again. FLYING VERSE is another of four last-time-out scorers in the field and the son of Yeats had plenty in hand at Kelso 11 days ago. He’s penalised but may have more to come.
Selection: Flying Verse @ 3/1
3.30 – Mansionbet Watch And Bet Handicap Hurdle (2m5½f)
The mare STRIKE THE FLINT is taken to defy an 8lb ratings-rise for her Plumpton score last month. That was her second good effort on the spin and Suzy Smith’s charge can keep the momentum going despite this new mark. Cry Wolf won at 50/1 on his penultimate start and has backed that up with another good showing since at Uttoxeter, so looks a danger.
Selection: Strike The Flint @ 2/1
4.05 – Follow MansionBet On Twitter Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase (3m1f)
The Christian Williams-trained JONY MAX was having his first start post-wind surgery when he finished a rallying second at Warwick (2m4f, good) last month under this rider. That was by some way his best effort under rules and this former 3m point-to-point winner must stand a fine chance of going one spot better if building on it now with this increased journey seemingly in his favour.
Selection: Jony Max @ 3/1
