Valderrama is back, dubbed as Europe’s toughest test! I am curious to see who will tame the beast this week, and with no Sergio Garcia in the field I expect an unfamiliar face to claim victory.
Notoriously known for its difficulties and meandering cork tree-lined fairways (with some holes even in the middle of the fairways) it’s safe to say Valderrama has long lived up to its reputation.
Normally I can give some good advice for who may or may not be up there come Sunday, but given the venue and it’s long list of first time winners, this week it really is up to the golfing gods.
What I can say is this: those that have won previously around Valderrama, need to be calm minded, good from the tee and very patient. Because there’s no doubt that the course will get you at some point during each round!
Adam’s Each-Way Tips
If I was to predict who I think will be up there this week at the Andalcuia Masters, I’d go with the following long odds players at each way terms:
Alvaro Quiros (100/1)
Santiago Tarrio (125/1)
Alejandro Cañizares (150/1)
Jorge Campillo (125/1)
Jack Senior (125/1)
Either way, I’ve no doubt this week’s venue is going to be a fascinating watch!
Touching on my game, I’m approaching a good stretch of tournaments. This is good news as I’m coming into some good form again, with another victory in the Marbella Pro Golf Tour posting 68 yesterday. Last week I matched that with another 68 to finish second, so the hard work is paying dividends!
