Mont Segur made a pleasing start to his hurdles career in finishing second last month at Uttoxeter over this trip on soft ground. Anthony Honeyball’s charge ran somewhat green and showed an odd quirk, but if he comes on for the run he could be hard to beat.
At the prices, it might be worth chancing once-raced Irish point-to-point winner DREAMS OF HOME as he begins his career under rules for new trainer Donald McCain.
The yard are in cracking form and he should certainly give the favourite cause for concern under champion jockey Brian Hughes.

13.00 – Racing TV EBF Mares’ Novices’ Chase (2m3½f)
Pink Legend made a pleasing start to her chasing career at Bangor and showed promise in Listed company next time at Warwick, but she arrives here after a fall at Wincanton on Boxing Day and also must concede a penalty.
With Vienna Court having unseated at Exeter last month, this might be a chance for LUST FOR GLORY to get on the scoresheet. She shaped quite well in a better contest at Wincanton four weeks ago and can build on that.

13:30 – Bet At racingtv.com Novices’ Hurdle (2m3½f)
Onward Route and Domaine De L’Isle have form claims but newcomers Unit Sixytfour and ROCKSTAR RONNIE are much-feared. The latter represents a Dan Skelton team in flying form and was picked up for £78,000 after winning an Irish point-to-point in the autumn.
He’s bred to have a bit of speed and should be well prepared for this opening assignment at a track where his trainer boasts a 28-per-cent strike-rate.

14:05 – Sixt Car Hire Handicap Chase (1m7½f)
It may be a quick-fire double for the Skelton brothers as impressive Chepstow winner ECLAIR D’AINAY bids to make it 2-2 over fences in the silks of John Hales.
Three of the horses he beat in Wales were next-time-out winners and he had them in his pocket from a fair way out. The handicapper hasn’t missed him (up 14lb) but he may still hold the aces.
Sao is another in-form contender while The King Of May ran a solid race over C&D last time and should again throw his hat in the ring.

14:35 – Watch Racing TV In Stunning HD Handicap Hurdle (2m3½f)
Last month’s Newbury winner FRENCH PARADOXE saw that form well-advertised over the weekend when the runner-up scored for Paul Nicholls at Wincanton, comfortably seeing off an impressive last-time-out winner in doing so.
Up-and-coming Lambourn trainer Oliver Signy will be expectant that a big challenge is forthcoming here from his handicap debutant.

15:10 – Racing TV Anywhere Handicap Chase (3m)
Little Red Lion spearheads the betting here but there was more than a hint of good fortune in his Taunton success recently and he’s likely vulnerable from 3lb higher.
COMMIT OR QUIT was a C&D scorer in November, a first chase win at the third attempt and was still going well when coming down at Warwick last time. Charlie Mann’s six-year-old can bounce back now returned to Wetherby.
Another Emotion isn’t the most willing but his Wincanton third in first-time blinkers (retained) on Boxing Day was more pleasing.

15:40 – Racing TV On Sky 426 Fillies’ ‘Junior’ Standard Open NH Flat Race (1m4½f)
Anything emerging from Seven Barrows into this sphere commands close inspection and Tweed Skirt is a well-bred filly sure to be popular in the betting for Nicky Henderson and Nico de Boinville.
That said, STEEL AN ICON had plenty in hand when scoring in a similar event last month at Newbury and she might well be up to shipping a penalty in this follow-up attempt.
