You have to go back to 19th February for Man Utd’s last win in the Premier League. Admittedly that’s was only four games ago – they’ve failed to score in the three since – but they can’t afford for that run to go on longer if they’re to secure a top four finish.
They’ve a score to settle with Brentford tonight after the Bees stung United with a 4-0 win in the second match of the season. But Thomas Frank’s side are in good shape at the moment, 8th in the table and just one Premier League defeat in 16 (W7 D8 L1) so won’t fear their trip to Old Trafford.
Five of Brentford’s last seven have seen both teams scored and they shared six goals with Brighton on Saturday so there could be some goals tonight but Over 2.5 Goals pays just 8/11.
Marcus Rashford will be the main danger for the home side. He’s scored 18 at Old Trafford this season in all competitions and is 11/10 to add to that tally. Ivan Toney has outscored Rashford in the league where he’s hit 17 goals. The England internationalist is 9/4 to net tonight.
West Ham hauled themselves out of the relegation zone with a win at Southampton on Sunday and might just have kept Davie Moyes in a job in the process. Tonight they host a bouyant Newcastle fresh from a 2-0 win over Manchester United.
The Magpies are up in to third in the table again but face a run of three games away from St James’ Park, however they’ve a good record in London this season where they’re unbeaten on four trips to the capital. Changed days indeed.
Eddie Howe’s men still boast the best defensive record in the top flight, just 19 conceded in 27 games. Likewise it could be the Hammers defensive prowess that helps keep them up too. They’ve conceded fewer goals than any of the eight teams currently involved in the relegation battle.
That means this has the look of an Under 2.5 Goals kind of game, which pays 4/6. No first half goals is 13/8 whilst Bet365 go 5/6 on there being no goal before 32:00 minutes.
There’s an El Clasico in Spain in the second leg of the Copa Del Rey semi-final. Barcelona lead 1-0 from the Bernabeu clash a month ago. Since then Barca have beaten Real Madrid again, this time with a late winner at the Nou Camp that loks to have all but clinched the La Liga title.
Xavi’s men seem to have Real’s number at the moment and although a draw will do them tonight they look good value at 13/10.
