With two games to go in Group A Manchester United’s fate is currently out of their own hands.
They must win in Turkey tonight, but even two more victories could see them eliminated if FC Copenhagen win their two remaining matches. That’s for another day however, all Erik ten Hag will be concerned with is picking up three points at Galatasaray.
The Turkish side stunned Old Trafford when they came from behind to win 3-2 on Matchday 2, their only win in the group stages so far. A win for Gala this evening would guarantee Europa League football at least, while eliminating United.
It’s been a disastrous campaign for the Red Devils. 11 goals conceded in four games and their only points secured thanks to a last gasp penalty save against Copenhagen.
Things are looking a bit brighter domestically but they’ve been so fragile in Europe that you couldn’t be backing them at 29/20 to get the win they crave.
Galatasary are 13/8 but goals could be a better angle. Each of their matches have gone Over 2.5 with three of the four seeing Over 3.5. The former pays just 4/7 and the latter a more tempting 11/8.
Walter Mazzarri leads Napoli for the first time in the Champions League against Real Madrid. He’s was drafted in to replace Rudi Garcia after 16 games in charge and started his reign with a 2-1 win at Atalanta on Saturday.
A win tonight would see him book the Serie A champions a place in the last 16.
Madrid won 3-2 in Naples and this looks another game where goals are guaranteed. Over 2.5 is priced up 7/10 but BTTS might be a better shout at 8/13.
Six different players have scored for Napoli in Group C with Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen yet to get on the scoresheet so they look more than capable of notching in the Bernabeu.
Braga can land the spoils in the their match against struggling Union Berlin. The Bundesliga side are another who have replaced their manager. Former Trabzonspor coach Nenad Bjelica was appointed on Sunday with the club second bottom of the table.
It’s possible he could make an immediate impact but Braga, who have lost narrowly to Real Madrid and Napoli at the distinctive Municipal Stadium, look well priced at 11/10 to win against a squad bereft of confidence.
