Ajax to Score 2+
Two sides who’ve had contrasting fortunes in Group C meet in Ístanbul as group leaders Ajax face group whipping boys Besiktas at Vodafone Park.
Ajax have been perfect in the group, winning all four of their matches, scoring 14 goals. They also won 0-5 at the weekend and are currently top of the Eredivisie.
It’s been a nightmare campaign for the Turkish champions with them losing all four of their group matches, conceding 12 goals. They’ve also lost four of their last five domestic matches in the Turkish Süper Lig.
These two sides have had very different campaigns and also come into this in very different form. Ajax won the reverse fixture 2-0 and should comfortably dispatch the Turkish champions once more.
Ross County vs Hibs – Over 2.5 goals
Hibs will be in a buoyant mood after their 3-1 victory over Rangers at Hampden in the League Cup semi-final and will be confident of securing three points on Wednesday night.
Hibs had lost each of their last four league games before their Hampden success, whereas Ross County have lost five of their last six in the Scottish Premiership.
Despite sitting bottom, Ross County have scored 17 times this season and have scored a brave in each of their last four home games. However, they’ve conceded on multiple occasions in their last four home games, conceding 12 times.
7/11 of Hibs league games this season have seen over 2.5 goals and with 9/12 of Ross County’s breaking the three goal barrier too, I’m expecting goals at Dingwall, with at least three being scored.
Club Brugge vs RB Leipzig – Both Teams to Score
The two bottom sides in Group A who are likely to fight for the Europa League spot meet at the Jan Breydelstadion as Club Brugge host RB Leipzig.
Club Brugge collected four points from their opening two matches before losing back to back games against Manchester City, whereas Leipzig collected their first point in their last match at home to PSG.
Club Brugge can still catch the top two with a win, whereas Leipzig need a win to go level on points with the Belgian side and that should lead to a fairly open match.
Both teams to score has landed in all four of each sides games in Group A this campaign and I’m expecting this to land once more in Brugge.
Manchester City vs PSG – Over 2.5 goals
The top two in Group A go head to head as Manchester City take on PSG at the Etihad in a match that could decide top spot.
Man City bounced back from their defeat in Paris by doing the double over Club Brugge. PSG on the other hand conceded in stoppage time in East Germany to relinquish top spot.
Both these sides have scored plenty in the group, scoring a combined total of 22 goals. However, they haven’t been too tight at the back, conceding 12 goals between them.
Both these sides still have a bit of work to do to confirm their qualification from Group A and with both sides scoring and conceding goals throughout the campaign, I’m expecting to see at least three strikes at the Etihad.
