Bodø/Glimt vs Strømsgodset – Both Teams to Score
Reigning champions Bodø/Glimt play host to the side directly above them in the table, Strømsgodset, at the Aspmyra Stadion.
Kietil Knutsen ended their three-match winless run last time out, as they won 1-4 away to lowly Haugesund, whilst Godset come into this having won 3-2 at home to Vålerenga.
The visitors have won three and drawn one of their last four in the Eliteserien, scoring nine times and they’ll look to take advantage of a Glimt defence that’s yet to register a clean sheet this season.
Given Glimt have scored 15 goals in their opening seven league matches themselves this season and that they are playing at home, it would be a surprise if they didn’t score, therefore, there’s a good chance we’ll see both sides score in the Arctic Circle.
Odd vs Sandefjord – Over 2.5 Goals
Two sides who will be disappointed with their starts to the season meet at Skagerak Arena, as Odd play host to Sandefjord.
The hosts put an end to their four-match losing streak last time out, as they won 0-1 away to newly-promoted Jerv, whilst ‘Guttane’ lost 1-4 at home to league leaders Lillestrøm.
That’s now five defeats from their opening seven league fixtures this season for Sandefjord, with the visitors also possessing the leagues joint-worst defence, conceding 17 goals in just seven matches.
Odd have conceded 13 goals themselves and given the visitors have struck 11 times already this season, there’s every chance we’ll see at least three goals between these two defensively vulnerable sides.
Viking to Score 2+
Viking will look to continue their impressive start to the season, as they host last years OBOS-ligaen champions Ham-Kam at the Viking Stadion.
Viking drew for the second time in their last three matches, as they conceded a stoppage-time equaliser away to Tromsø last time out, whilst the visitors 1-1 draw at home to Rosenborg on Sunday was their fourth successive draw in-a-row.
Jakob Michelsen’s visitors are yet to keep a clean sheet on their travels, conceding five times in their three matches and I can’t see them keeping a clean sheet here.
De markeblä are the Eliteserien’ top-scorers, scoring 18 times and given 11 of those have come at home, I’m happy to back them to score another brace in Stavanger.
Lillestrøm to Score 2+
Lillestrøm will look to maintain their position at the top of the Eliteserien, as they host Vålerenga at the Äräsen Stadion.
The hosts come into this winning 1-4 away to Sandefjord, whilst Dag-Eilev Fagermo saw his side extend their winless run to three matches following their 3-2 defeat away to Strømsgodset last time out.
The visitors have lost 4/5 away from home this season, conceding 11 times and that could spell danger for them when they travel to the league leaders.
Geir Bakke’s side have won six of their opening eight league fixtures, including all four at home and I’m happy to back them to score at least twice against their poor-travelling opponents.
