After two draws in their opening two Group F matches Scotland are already in must-win territory, even more so when the opponents at Hampden Park are the Faroe Islands.
The island nation gave Austria a bit of a fright on Sunday when they took the lead in Vienna before succumbing by three goals to one and it’ll be no walk in the park for the Scots tonight.
Steve Clarke’s side have shown some resilience in coming from behind in both their qualifiers so far but they’ll be expected to be on the front foot tonight and Steve Clarke will likely put his trust in Che Adams to lead the line. The Southampton striker is 4/1 to open his international account with the first goal of the game.
The Faroes have scored in their last seven outings so Scotland may have to score a couple themselves to win the points. Over 2.5 goals is 3/4.
Poland’s loss is England’s gain with the news that Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandowski will miss his country’s trip to London. The striker looks set to sit out up to four weeks which could have an impact on Bayern’s defence of their Bundesliga and Champions League titles.
After a couple of comfortable wins over San Marino and Albania, the Poles will represent a sterner test but odds of 2/7 on the home win tells it’s own story. Without Lewi to lead the line for Poland a win to nil for Gareth Southgate’s side appeals at 20/21.
There were 37 goals scored in Tuesday’s 10 World Cup qualifiers and another goal glut could pay on Wednesday. Skybet go 5/4 on there being 35+ goals in 12 of Tuesday’s matches but be warned!… Skybet being their usual sneaky selves have decided to omit Liechtenstein v Iceland and San Marino v Albania from their list of matches.
