In hindsight last night’s Super Single was bet of the season so far! 21/20 for Bayern Munich to win at the Nou Camp against an ailing Barcelona was just too good to be true.
A comfortable 3-0 win, with Barca not even able to muster a shot on target, tells the story of Bayern’s dominance. Well done to those that got on board, and to those who took the 17/5 on our winning Goalscorer Treble of Ronaldo, Lukaku and Lewandowski to net anytime.
Wednesday’s Champions League mathces promise more drama with stand out ties between Liverpool and AC Milan at Anfield and Inter v Real Madrid at the San Siro.
AC Milan travel without injured 39-year-old Zalatan Ibrahimovic but the relatively youthful 34-year-old Olivier Giroud could still prove a handful. Group B is as tough as they come, with Atletico Madrid and 2004 champions Porto also in there and neither Liverpool or Milan will want to start with a loss although Jurgen Klopp’s men ar ered-hot favourites at 4/9. A fascinating night at Anfield lies in store but it’s probably a game best left alone.
The bookies aren’t taking any chance with Manchester City either and go 2/7 on them starting with a win over RB Leipzig. The Champions League trophy is the one that has eluded Pep Guardiola as City boss and once again they’re up near the top of the outright betting at 7/2 (PSG are faves at 3/1). Opponents Leipzig have started their Bundesliga campaign poorly, losing three of their opening four games so won’t be relishing a trip to the Etihad.
It’s another match that looks hard to find a betting angle in, even more so given the way goals have been spread around the Man City squad. One route in could be via corners. Man City are second highest on the corner count in the Premeir League (9.75 per match) and despite an indifferent start RBL top Bundesliga’s corner table on 6.50 per match. Man City should enojy the lion’s share of possession so we should expect them to rack up the most, a BetBuilder on Over 5 Man City corners & Over 1 RBL corner pays 10/11.
Club Brugge face the ominous task of try to stop Messi, Neymar, Mbappe and co. All three usually come to life on this stage and although just 2/9 for the PSG win that should be money in the bank. PSG to score 2+ and to be leading at half-time pays 5/6 on a Bet365 BetBuilder.
A case could be made for Ajax at 11/8 to win at Sporting as could one for Shakhtar Donetsk to win at tournament debutants Sheriff Tiraspol. The Double pays just over 7/2.
For Wednesday’s Super Single though we’re dipping in to the Championship. Fulham have the chance to reclaim top spot after West Brom were surprisingly held by Derby on Tuesday. The Cottagers suffered their first defeat of the season at Blackpool at the weekend and will be desperate to bounce back with a win at Birmingham.
The Blues have made a promising start to the season but have lost when comign up against quality opposition, their two defeats coming at home to Bournemouth and tonight’s opponents Fulham in the cup. Marco Silva’s side will be there of therabouts at the top of the table come the end of the season and it’ll be wins at places like St Andrews that’ll get them there so should be backed at 6/5 with SBK.
