1.50 – MansionBet Proud To Support British Racing Novices’ Hurdle (2m5f)
Nicky Henderson has a 25 per-cent strike-rate at this course over the previous five seasons and the former champion trainer can enhance that with FIRST STREET.
The gelded son of Golden Horn twice finished second in bumpers in May/July before making a winning start over sticks at Bangor (2m3½f, good) last month.
He kept it simple by making all under Nico de Boinville and, while the margin of victory was less than a length, the result never was in serious doubt. The first two were miles clear and the runner-up has won since. He’s got fine claims here going up in trip.
Selection: First Street @ 11/10
2.25 – MansionBet Bet 10 Get 20 Novices’ Handicap Hurdle (2m)
After back-to-back wins at Southwell and Uttoxeter, Peaked Too Soon has run well enough in both starts since. He doesn’t convince with his jumping however and could be vulnerable on his return from wind surgery.
PENCREEK was impressive last month at Bangor on his seasonal bow, scoring with any amount in hand, and a 7lb rise might not stop him. David Pipe’s mare Lady Reset scored on the Flat 10 days ago and is also shortlisted returning to this sphere.
Selection: Pencreek @ 7/2
3.00 – MansionBet’s Faller Insurance Handicap Chase (2m4f)
This month’s Uttoxeter (2m4f, good) success confirmed that suspicion that VISION DES FLOS was lurking on a dangerously low mark.
He won that three-horse race from Zoffee in second spot and a 2lb pull at the weights may not be enough to see Philip Hobbs’ youngster gaining revenge.
This ground should once again suit the Colin Tizzard inmate and he may again manage to dominate this contest under a positive ride.
Selection: Vision Des Flos @ 5/2
3.35 – Follow MansionBet On Twitter Handicap Hurdle (2m5f)
An Tailliur is the obvious one on paper. Jonjo O’Neill’s son of Authorized won three times in quick succession back in May and the manner of the most recent of those at Southwell was again straightforward.
He’s 13lb higher back from his summer break but could have more to offer.
HOWLING MILAN was second in a stronger Newbury contest over three-miles in the spring and, if ready to roll now, could be on a nice mark with Liam Harrison taking off 5lb. He’s given the nod to give the likely jolly a scare.
Selection: Howling Milan @ 7/2
4.10 – MansionBet Watch And Bet Handicap Chase (2m)
Last year’s winner Go As You Please finds himself a stone higher in the ratings now and he was a very disappointing favourite over C&D in May when last spotted. He’s got something to prove consequently.
THREE BULLET GATE had the race at his mercy at Market Rasen in June only to come down two jumps from home. He’s back from a break and preferred to the rather inconsistent last-time-out scorer Kapsize.
Selection: Three Bullet Gate @ 15/8
4.45 – Download The MansionBet App Handicap Hurdle (3m1f)
Last-time-out Worcester winner Not At Present is improving in this sphere and may have something to offer back in a handicap today for Ben Pauling but WHITE WALKER is well suited to this stamina test and may prevail.
He won well at Market Rasen in August and perhaps was undone at Uttoxeter since from this mark by exaggerated waiting tactics that left him with a mountain to climb. He is capable of better than that.
Selection: White Walker @ 11/4
