Team Liquid and Gambit Esports last met in August when Gambit won 2-1. According to the latest Valorant esports betting odds, this rematch will be just as close, but we wouldn’t say that it’s a 50/50.
Team Liquid had a slow start to the 2021 season but found serious traction in October and went on a 13-game winning streak, that ended in the VALORANT Champions 2021 semi-finals when Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen and co. lost to the eventual champions, Acend.
Gambit Esports were just as impressive last season and nearly won the VALORANT Champions 2021 title, but dropped a 2-1 lead in the finals and collected a silver medal. In September, Gambit also won the Masters Berlin, so they deserve some respect, but we have to lean more towards Liquid for this bout.
Even though Liquid achieved less in 2021, they have been improving and look set for an explosive season. At $1.82, they’re slightly undervalued and are a solid pick.

Fnatic enter 2022 after an up-and-down 2021 season. They initially struggled to find traction but then unexpectedly won EU Stage 2 Challengers 2 and placed second in Masters Reykjavik in May, before they returned to their old ways and failed to win a single tournament for the rest of the year.
Still, we are very excited about Fnatic and what this team can produce now that they got their hands on a Sova player, Andrey “BraveAF” Gorchakov, who joined the team in January. He has yet to play an official match with the black-and-orange, but BraveAF has the right skillset to help Fnatic reach higher highs.
G2 Esports were also very active during the offseason, signing two new players in Aaro “hoody” Peltokangas and Johan “Meddo” Renbjörk Lundborg from Giants Gaming and their former coach Daniil “pipsoN” Meshcheryakov. Although great additions, changing two players and a coach can’t help the team’s synergy.
Both teams are ring rusty and with new members, so expect a shaky showing from both sides and a three-map series.
