Ninjas in Pyjamas enter VALORANT China Ascension 2023 at no.13 on the China Evolution Series standings, having shown very little since the start of the circuit. They won the Act 2 qualifier in October and placed top six at the Act 2: Selection Play-In but stumbled in the Act 3 open qualifier in November with an early exit.
Night Wings Gaming are in an even worse spot. They are ranked 15th, with no notable results except for a top-six finish at the Act 1: Variation Play-In in September. But despite their shaky showings, Night Wings looked decent in November, when they played a good game against Bilibili Gaming in the first round of the Act 3: Heritability Play-In.

Ranked no.2 in the China Evolution Series standings, Rare Atom look poised to win VALORANT China Ascension 2023. They are in great form with just five losses over their last 15 games, four of which came against EDward Gaming. Even though Rare Atom have produced some close games against weaker opponents over the last three months, they’ve consistently beaten lesser teams.
Keep Best Gaming are the lowest-rated team attending VALORANT China Ascension 2023. KGB had their moment last month when they defeated ODG Esports Club and played a three-map series against Dragon Ranger Gaming, but their overall form is concerning.
Rare Atom are one of China’s top Valorant teams, and we expect that to show on Saturday.

Dragon Ranger Gaming struggled early in the VALORANT China Evolution Series 2023 season but found momentum in October following a few roster changes. They placed top six in the Selection Play-In and won the Heritability Play-In, and although they could only manage seventh-eighth place in the Act 3 main event in late November, their only defeats came against Rare Atom and FunPlus Phoenix.
17 Gaming have only recently found success, collecting 120 points in VALORANT China Evolution Series Act 3. But even that is hardly something to celebrate, considering their only achievement was qualifying for Act 3: Heritability.
Neither team is among the best in the region, but 17 Gaming are just a lesser version of Dragon Ranger Gaming.

Attacking Soul Esports are ranked fifth on the China Evolution Series standings, 85 points clear of sixth-placed Bilibili Gaming. They’ve looked solid over the last couple of months, and even though AES are 1-4 leading into this match, the four defeats came against Trace Esports, Rare Atom, EDward Gaming, and FunPlus Phoenix — the only four teams ranked higher than them.
Four Angry Men have found some traction since July, with six wins over 12 outings. But all their losses came against stronger opponents, while all six of their wins were against lesser teams.
