Union Berlin will welcome a return to home soil on Saturday as they attempt to end a two-game losing streak at the expense of Borussia Monchengladbach.
Home Comforts Key for Union
Back-to-back losses in away matches against RB Leipzig and Augsburg have seen Union Berlin have slip to eighth in the Bundesliga.
They return to the capital for the first time since January 15 when Borussia Monchengladbach come to town for Saturday’s 14:30 clash.
Gladbach have their sights set on a second successive top-four finish this season and the early signs suggest they will be in the running.
A hard-fought 4-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund on Friday has them sitting fifth and just four points behind second-placed RB Leipzig.
Marco Rose’s men are unbeaten in five but they face a serious test in trying to extend that record at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.
Union have lost only once at home this term and look the value bet to win this clash at 47/20, especially when considering Gladbach boast just two away wins in the Bundesliga.
Dortmund Desperate to Stop the Slide
Interim boss Edin Terzic appeared to be steering the club in the right direction after Lucien Favre’s dismissal, however, the wheels are in danger of coming off once again if they don’t address their current run of form soon.
Dortmund are without a win in three, losing to Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach, while they were held to a draw at home to relegation-threatened Mainz.
Saturday’s meeting with Augsburg, who ended a three-game losing streak last time out, should offer the perfect chance for Dortmund to end their winless run.

Schalke’s struggles started before the lockdown and have continued on throughout the 2020-21 Bundesliga campaign.
