Joint-hosts Georgia have been the surprise package at the U21s Euro Championships so far, emulating the good form of their senior counterparts.
A win over Portugal and a draw with Belgium sees them top Group A ahead of tonight’s clash with the Netherlands in Tbilisi.
The Dutch need to win otherwise they’ll be making an early exit from the competition following two draws from their opening two games.
A point will be good enough for Georgia but its Jong Orange who are firm favourites at 13/20. The draw is priced up at 14/5 whilst another win for the hosts is 17/4.
Over 40,000 turned up for Georgia’s last match with Belgium, an U21 Euro Championship record, so they won’t be without support this evening and that could help them get their qualification to the knock-out stages over the line. Backing the Draw or Georgia win on the Double Chance market pays 5/4.
Both Teams to Score should be a good option too. Netherlands need to go for it and have the quality on board to find the net but Georgia have shown plenty of spirit as well as quality and if they concede will need to find the net too. BTTS pays 4/5.
In Group A’s other match both Belgium and Portugal simply need to win – even that might not be enough for the Portuguese who’ll need a favourable result in the other match.
It could be another open game where Over 2.5 Goals pays 7/10.
Group B is all but settled. Spain and Ukraine meet in Bucharest to decide who will top the group with both nations on six points. Spain’s superior goal difference see them in first place so a draw will be enough for them.
Neither that match nor the dead rubber between Croatia and Romania appeal much from a betting perspective.
