Atalanta to Score 2+
Atalanta will look to put pressure on the sides above them in Serie A as they take on promoted side Venezia at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.
Atalanta will be buoyant after their win in Turin against Juventus at the weekend, meaning they’ve now won each of their last three in Serie A and are unbeaten in their last seven.
Venezia were on a three game unbeaten run prior to their meeting with Inter on Saturday evening but were comfortably defeated 0-2 by the champions.
It’s no surprise Atalanta are amongst the top scorers in Serie A and with them full of confidence, I’m backing them to score at least twice against a Venezia side who’ve only won twice on the road this season.
Fiorentina vs Sampdoria – Over 2.5 Goals
7th placed Fiorentina play host to 15th placed Sampdoria at the Artemio Franchi in a match that should see goals.
After becoming the first team in Serie to defeat AC Milan in a 4-3 thriller, Fiorentina were then defeated away to promoted side Empoli highlighting their inconsistency this season.
After only win in eight, Sampdoria travel to Florence winning each of their last last two Serie A matches to take them five points clear of the relegation zone.
Fiorentina’s matches at the Artemio Franchi have saw 23 goals, with all six seeing over 2.5 goals and with Sampdoria scoring five goals in their last two matches, I’m expecting them to contribute in a match featuring at least three goals.
Hellas Verona to Score 2+
Hellas Verona will look to bounce back from their defeat at the Marassi at the weekend, as they take on struggling Cagliari at the Bentegodi.
Verona will be glad to return back on home turf, as they’ve won each of their last five there, scoring on 15 occasions.
Walter Mazzarri’s side conceded a stoppage time equaliser against basement side Salernitana, meaning Cagliari have failed to win any of their last six matches.
Hellas Verona have won each of their last five at home and I’m backing them to score at least twice against a Cagliari side who are still winless on theit travels, conceding 2+ in all six.
Leeds United vs Crystal Palace – Both Teams to Score
Leeds will look to edge further away from the relegation zone as they take on mid-table Crystal Palace at Elland Road.
Leeds claimed a draw away to Brighton last time out, meaning they’ve lost just one of their last five in the Premier League.
Crystal Palace suffered their first defeat since a 3-0 loss at Anfield in September, as they were defeated 1-2 at Selhurst Park by Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa.
Both these sides have scored in 10 of their 13 Premier League matches this season but struggle to keep things tight at the back. Goals are the way to go in this one and I’m backing both these sides to find the back of the net.
