STORM Darcy might have the biggest say on your bets on Tuesday as the cold front hits the UK with snow over the next 24-48 hours – so pick your matches with care.
Hopefully we’ll see a flurry of goals on BBC One from Old Trafford where Manchester United welcome West Ham in the FA Cup.
The entire Fifth Round will be played out over the next three nights with every match live on TV starting with Bournemouth’s visit to Burnley on BT Sport 1.
There’s a near-full card of games in League One and League Two in England on Tuesday as well as the National Leagues.
Real Madrid host Getafe in La Liga while Juventus defend their 2-1 first-leg lead over Inter in the Coppa Italia in Turin.
Let’s get started…
Tuesday’s Football Tips
FA Cup matches should always be treated with caution, with teams expected to make use of their squads, especially with some managers complaining about of the volume of games at the moment. Best wait to see team news before taking the plunge.
Burnley look a decent price at 5/4 (Bet365) against a Bournemouth side who relieved Jason Tindall of his duties last week. Jonathan Woodgate will take charge at Turf Moor.
It’s a free hit for the Cherries who’s sole focus this season will be a return to the Premier League but their 3-2 win at Birmingham was their first in six in the Championship. Whether the ‘new-manager-bounce’ will extend to knocking Premier League opposition out of the FA Cup looks unlikely if Sean Dyche goes with a strong line-up.
Peterborough can continue their good home form with a win over Ipswich at London Road. Posh beat Paul Lambert’s side a few weeks ago at Portman Road and can repeat the trick at 11/10 with home advantage.
If, and it’s a big if, Dundee v Ayr Utd goes ahead then it’s worth siding with the home side. They’ve not set the heather on fire but they’ve been decent at home in the Championship. Ayr United have won just one in seven and although they might be good for a goal Dundee should have too much firepower.
Real Madrid have been unreliable in La Liga this season but should get the better of Getafe on Tuesday. 10-man Madrid lost their last home match to Levante but Zidane’s men can’t afford to lose any more as they try to catch Atletico.
