IT’S a busy night across Europe and in England on Tuesday but it all kicks-off rather early in Glasgow, where Celtic welcome Ferencvaros for an unusual 3.30pm kick-off in the Europa League.
Only a win will do for Ange Postecoglou’s men who have yet to pick up a point after defeats to Real Betis and Bayer Leverkusen.
The Hungarians won a one-off Champions League qualifier at Celtic Park last season and although the starting XI will be almost unrecognisible from that clash it’s a chance for Postecolgou to demonstrate some progress under his guidance. The Hoops are priced at just 8/15 which feels a little skinny. All four matches in this group have seen Over 2.5 Goals, averaging 4.5 goals per game so three or more goals at 8/11 is an obvious play.
In the Champions League Liverpool face a tough trip to Atletico Madrid but the Reds will fear no-one at the moment and can open up a five point lead over the Spanish Champions with a win. Jurgen Klopp’s men have scored 27 goals in their last eight games and look deadly going forward with Mo Salah in the form of his life.
Like Celtic, Liverpool have a score to settle from last season when Atletico knocked the Reds out of the competition in extra-time at Anfield and they’re as big as 11/8 at SBK to settle the score against Diego Simeone’s men.
Man City have had a curious start to their Champions League campaign, a 6-3 home win over RB Leipzig was followed by a 2-0 defeat at PSG so a nice straightforward win at Club Brugge would be very welcome by Pep Guardiola. 1/4 is no price to be getting involved in though, especially since the Belgians held PSG to a 1-1 draw on matchday one.
There’s always goals when Erling Haaland is involved in the Champions League and the Norwegian striker has made a goalscoring return to the Dortmund side after a period out through injury. He has Ajax in his sights tonight and there should be goals in Amsterdam.
The Dutch side have scored 32 goals in their last nine (3.55 per game) including a 5-1 mauling of Sporting. Over 2.5 Goals is just 4/9 but add Haaland to score in a BetBuilder and you can get 21/20 at Bet365.
Elsewhere Shakhtar Donestk could make things tough for Real Madrid. The Ukrainians held Inter to a 0-0 draw and with Madrid not quite firing on all cylinders it could be worth finding a way to get onside with Shakhtar.
A word of caution is that it’s probably best to steer clear of Skybet’s Total Goals specials. They go 8/11 on there being 25+ goals across the eight games. That would require an average of 3.1 goals per game but so far the competition has only averaged 2.69, although it should be noted the four groups in action tonight have averaged 3.0 per match.
