Well done The Bankies! A 1-1 draw with League Two side Elgin City earned Clydebank a Scottish Cup replay on Saturday and kept the dream alive.
They didn’t quite manage to deliver the 11/2 Super Single winner for us but they did themselves proud and we’re sure Paul would’ve loved every second of it. He’d have been especially proud to have his name on their jersey so let’s hope they can compete the job at Borough Briggs on Saturday.
Cmon the Bankies!
Good luck tonight boys @clydebankfc

The EFL Cup and EFL Trophy dominate tonight’s fixtures and it makes for a bit of a minefield for punters. The least said about the latter the better. All six matches feature Premier League Under 21 sides, who of course are away from home and are priced up as underdogs in their respective ties.
It’s really difficult to quantify the differences between the likes of League One MK Dons and Aston Villa’s youths. To be fair to the Villans, they done pretty well in recent years, being one of the few young squads to make it beyond the group stages.
Chelsea, West Ham, Spurs and Man City have teams playing in both competitions this week and considering how much Premier League managers like to rotate their teams in the EFL Cup there might be one or two players how would normally represent the U21 sides sneak in to the first team squads.
Goals might be the best form of attack in the EFL Trophy and it’s just over 11/1 that all six games see Over 2.5 Goals at Bet365.
In the EFL Cup we’re at the last 16 stage of the competition so there’s plenty of all-Premier League clashes over the next two nights.
Arsenal v Leeds United is your live match on Sky Sports. The Gunners will be keen to keep their momentum going which has seen them put together a seven game unbeaten run. It goes without saying that both managers will make changes so trying to second guess who’ll feature is pointless. It should be an open game though and again goals looks the best angle.
Chelsea host Southampton at Stamford Bridge and the Premier League leaders should be a solid bet at 4/9.
The night’s other tie sees League One Sunderland visit QPR of the Championship. Rangers don’t have a great recent cup record so it would be a big deal for them to make to the quarter finals. Likewise for the Black Cats who have impressed at times this season as they chase promotion once more. It’s another tough one to call but home advantage could swing it for the Rs who have lost just once at Loftus Road in the league and disposed of Everton there in the previous round.
We’re dipping in to the Scottish Championship for tonight’s Super Single. Top scorers Partick Thistle were held to a 0-0 draw at home to battling Dunfermline but they surely won’t go two matches without scoring after hitting 23 in their previous nine.
They visit second-bottom Morton who are in the worst form of any team in the league and have conceded two or more in three of their four games. Thistle’s five away matches have seen 23 goals scored (4.6 goals per game) so Over 2.5 appeals at 10/11 (SBK) but Morton have only scored seven in ten so the 11/10 on Partick Thistle to net twice edges it for the Super Single.
Super Single
- Partick Thistle to score 2+ 11/10 SBK
