Sean Dyche and Brendan Rodgers are two of only three managers in the bottom half of the table who’s club’s have kept faith with them from the start of the season.
The latest club to blink are Leeds United who’s board reacted to their perilous position by relieving Marcelo Bielsa of his duties and have now tasked RB Leipzig boss Jesse Marsch with keeping them in the Premier League.
While Leicester look relatively safe in 13th and with a few games in hand on teams round about them, defeat tonight would see Burnley move to just three points behind them and up to 15th in the table, their highest league position since the opening day of the season.
Dyche’s team look to be timing their best run of form at the most crucial stage of the season and have now lost just once in their last six (a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool), although arguably there have been too many draws for the manager’s liking.
They’ve conceded just 10 goals at home, significantly fewer than the other teams in the bottom half and a home defensive record only bettered by Liverpool and Manchester City. Contrast that with Leicester’s away form which has seen them win just two on the road this season, at Brentford (15th) and Norwich (20th).
The Foxes’ last league win away from home was back in October so it’d take a brave man to back them up against a Burnley side scrapping for their lives therefore the home win has to be the shout. The Clarets are backable at 19/10 but with their propensity to draw games it could pay to keep the draw on our side. The Burnley Double Chance market pays just 8/15 so take them on the Draw No Bet market at even money and it’ll be no harm done if it finishes level.
In the FA Cup three Premier League sides face Championship opposition in the Fifth Round of the competition. There’s a fair chance that Man City, Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur will all take the opportunity to rotate their squads so be sure to check out the starting line-ups before placing your bets.
All three to win inside 90 minutes pays over 2/1 (including a 5% bonus for the Treble at Bet365).
