Two points from their opening three Nations League games sees England bottom of Group A3 but the good news is that no-one is running away with it and a win tonight could put them right back in the frame for qualification.
Hungary are the visitors to Molineux and they must be delighted with their four points so far in what looked like the proverbial Group of Death for them.
By contrast, Gareth Southgate’s side have massively underperformed during this international break. Just one goal scored, that an 88th minute Harry Kane penalty, tells it’s own story. Kane remains the Three Lions’ single biggest threat and he’s even money to add to his 50 international goals tonight.
Revenge will be in the air for England after the Mighty Magyars victory in Budapest 10 days ago so expect a home win, albeit at a very short price of 2/7. The win to nil market appeals at 5/6 in England’s favour too.
Steve Clarke needs a big performance from his side in Yerevan tonight. Saturday’s 3-0 defeat in Dublin was a sore one and a few knives are starting to be sharpened for the former Kilmarnock manager. The 2-0 win over Armenia last week was comfortable enough and they should be good enough to bounce back with a win at 4/7. Doubling that up with and England victory pays just over evens.
Wales salvaged a point against Belgium with a late goal in Cardiff on Saturday but face another tough test in Rotterdam tonight. Group A4 has seen the most goals scored so far and the Dutch are joint top scorers in the top flight groups. They’ve scored two or more in all three matches but are just 4/9 to do so again.
At 1/3 to win they’re not backable but the 20/21 on the Netherlands to be winning at half-time and full-time appeals.
