Done Deal: Ben Godfrey to Everton
After their great start going forward, Everton have landed a highly-rated English centre-half. Ben Godfrey has arrived at Goodison Park in a £30million deal from Norwich. The England under-21 international strengthens the Toffees’ options at the back.
RUMOURS
Tottenham are making a final push to strengthen their defence, as they’re liked with Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar. However, the Nerazzurri have already rebuffed approaches for him in the window and they value the defender at £50million.
Ronald Koeman has left the door open for Ousmane Dembele, who has been linked with a loan move to Manchester United. The Red Devils are expected to be busy today and could offer Dembele a chance for a fresh start after a tough time at Barca.
The Red Devils are also looking to wrap up Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles as they look to make improvements following their poor start to the season.
Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek is weighing up a loan exit with his minutes likely to be limited at Stamford Bridge. Frank Lampard has plenty of options in the middle of the park and is welcome to the idea of Loftus-Cheek temporarily moving somewhere to rediscover his best form.
Everton’s Theo Walcott could make a return to Southampton nearly 15 years after leaving the South Coast club. The Saints are considering a loan move for their former prodigy, with Walcott falling down the pecking order at Goodison Park.
Chelsea are trying to ship Antonio Rudiger before the deadline, as they don’t want him to end up at a Premier League rival. PSG, Spurs and AC Milan are all interested, with the German international struggling for playing time under Frank Lampard.
