The first Euro 2020 semi-final kicks off at 8pm tonight, so all tips have been made for the right side of the football!
Hope that Wallis fires the right bullet
The 19.56 is an A2 affair, and Hopes Bullet is the pick at 2/1
. He was only second at this level last time out, but his only other run in A2 grade saw him absolutely bolt up in a swift 29.53 at the end of March.
He made it no further than the first round of the Derby when not coming away as well as he can and while he would prefer a draw slightly wider, he sets a good standard for Mark Wallis.
Everything’s coming up Millhouse
Millhouse Alan, 7/4
, is in danger of becoming a frustrating pup, yet to get his head in front. He has generally been keeping better company than this of late for Vicki Lea and is worth giving another chance to.
He was beaten less than four lengths by Derby quarter-finalist Signet Ace in early June and while he has not backed that up since a return to that level would be too good for the 18.58 field.
Lea set to double up with Flake
Vicki Lea can double up on the card, getting the night off to the perfect start with Footfield Flake, who is priced at 4/1
in the 18.09. This is his first start at the track since coming over from Henlow where he competed at a solid level.
There is not too much in the way of early pace here and he does have the odd smash break in his locker so this race has the potential to go his way early on.
Red jacket can see sprinter beyond recall
It has been smart company that 2/1
Icalls Rocco has been keeping for John Mullins. He is a perfect 3/3 in the past when clad in the red jacket, including beating the 2020 sprinter of the year Shrewd Call at Yarmouth.
He beat trap three here two starts back and with that rival looking his main danger tonight at 19.36, he can once more take advantage of that hound running middle off the turn and nipping up the inside.
Maurice to get head back in front
An A5 at 18.28 sees 13/2
Mullingarmaurice the pick for trainer Andrew Ioannou. His last two wins have both come at a higher level, including a 29.98 success that reads very well in this grade.
Recent runs have not been to that same standard but he has a slow starter inside him and looks capable of turning a touch closer to the pace than of late. A strong stayer, if he corners handy, he should be hard to hold.
