Congratulations to Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel who outfoxed Manchester City to be crowned Champions of Europe!
I was the third time Tuchel has got the better of Pep Guardiola since he arrived at the Bridge and the win banished the German’s disppoinment of missing out in last season’s final with PSG.
Kai Havertz goal was enough for the Bluse to claim the trophy for the second time in their history.
CHELSEA LEAD! 🔵
A superb pass from Mason Mount and Kai Havertz is cool enough to round the keeper and slot the ball home! 🎯#UCLfinal pic.twitter.com/P2auOn6yk7

While it was an entertaining match to watch it was a pretty dull event from a betting perspective; just one goal, only three cards and a meagre three corners, none of which would’ve been particularly popular with punters who like a BetBuilder.
Chelsea became the latest in a series of underdogs to win recent finals, joining Leiecester City (FA Cup), St Johnstone (Scottish Cup) and Villarreal (Europa League) to name but a few, that have claimed silverware despite being unfancied by the bookies in the head-to-head.
Well done too to Brentford who will dine at the top table next season. Their 2-0 Wembley win over Swansea City booked their ticket to the land of riches that is the Premier League. The bad news is that the bookies rate them 11/10 chances to make a swift return to the Championship. Fellow promoted sides Norwich (1/1) and Watford (11/10) unsurprisingly make up the trio of relegation favourites.

Greg MacLean is also looking across the North Sea for his Bet of the Day. Keep an eye out for that one.
Elsewhere we’re going truly global on Sunday with match previews from four different continents, in particular the United States, Australia, Japan, England and France.
